Penn State’s Center for Socially Responsible AI is hosting a “Cheat-a-thon” contest from March 3, to April 6, 2025.

The contest will explore the benefits and pitfalls of generative AI by having Penn State University faculty submit questions for students to answer solely using generative AI tools like ChatGPT. The contest is open to all faculty and students who are 18-years old and have a valid “.edu” email address from a college of university based in the United States.

There will be cash prizes given to 10 students who submit the most correct answers based on the highest cumulative grades for their AI-generated answers.
